In her latest video former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro goes slap off on Mitt Romney for ‘trashing’ Donald Trump and calling for a ‘brokered’ convention in order to block him from securing the Republican presidential nominee.
Pirro said ‘the establishment is panicked’ and that Romney has just confirmed it, as the Judge made her opening statement on Saturday (May 6, 2016) during her Fox News show, Justice With Judge Jeanine.
Pierre also hit out at the Republican 2012 White House nominee, saying that while he calls Trump arrogant that ‘his acts are more arrogant than his [Trump’s] words.’
‘There’s an insurrection coming. Mitt Romney just confirmed it,’ Pirro said.
‘We’ve watched governors, the National Review, conservative leaders, establishment and party operatives trash Donald Trump.
‘But Mitt Romney will always be remembered as the one who put us over the edge and awoke a sleeping giant – the silent majority – the American people.’
Pirro responded to comments Romney made on Thursday during a speech in Utah when he excoriated Trump as unfit to be president in a deeply personal attack that exposed party panic at the billionaire’s political success.
Baldly stating that ‘Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,’ Romney said his party’s frontrunner ‘has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president.’
Romney offered a litany of pejorative descriptions of Trump, saying he was greedy, dishonest, bullying and misogynistic.
Warning of ‘profound consequences for the Republican Party,’ Romney said that ‘if we Republicans choose Donald Trump as our nominee, the prospects for a safe and prosperous future are greatly diminished.’
The party’s 2008 White House nominee, Senator John McCain, later piled on, saying he shared Romney’s concerns and those expressed by top national security experts, calling Trump’s statements ‘uninformed and indeed dangerous.’
Pirro – who appeared in HBO’s series The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst – seemed to confirm the state of the Republican establishment on Saturday amid Trump’s rise in the race for the White House.
Pirro, who wrote a book about her experience investigating Durst said; ‘Fact: the establishment is panicked.’
During her opening statement, she mentioned that Romney essentially called for a ‘brokered’ convention in which the Republican nominee will be selected by ‘party activists and delegates, irrespective of their states choice.’
‘The call? To vote for whomever has the best chance of beating Donald Trump. You want a brokered convention? A primer, Mitt. Whenever we have one, we lose,’ she said.
She went to suggest that he called for one not to ‘protect us’, to ‘stop us from falling into the abyss’ or ‘to prevent us from falling into a recession’ but because of the fear of ‘losing power.’
We don’t believe any of you. That’s why the outsiders are so strong in both parties – while the insiders seek a brokered convention or super delegates to guarantee their positions,’ she said.
‘You’re panicked, not for us, but because you’re worried about losing power. Lobbyists, pharmaceutical companies, power brokers, lawmakers… willing to invest in absurd pensions our children can’t pay, for your own short-term political survival.’
She went on to say that ‘we are sick’ of legislators with modest means who ‘leave Congress multi-millionaires’ and added, ‘you are so entrenched that you are willing to give Hillary Clinton the win.’
Pirro then went on to ask Romney if he was so concerned for the country, where was he when: ‘Obama lied to us saying we could keep our healthcare and our doctor’; ‘when the military suffered as the V.A. was run like a piggy bank for corrupt employees’; and ‘when the IRS went after conservative 501 c3 applicants.’
She also described the Clinton Foundation as running one of the biggest ‘501 c3s in the world’ which she suggested was a ‘money laundering organized criminal enterprise, parading as a nothing more than a shell to pay campaigners and Clinton operatives to secure her election.’
In reference to the GOP experts who penned an open letter warning that a Trump presidency would make ‘America less safe’ and would ‘diminish our standing in the world,’ Pirro asked if those ‘bozos’ were talking about President Barack Obama.
Pirro then brought up Romney’s loss against Obama in the 2012 presidential election.
‘Mitt, you lost your own state – Massachusetts – which was the second worst home state loss in presidential election history,’ she said.
‘And Trump won 49% of Massachusetts. Donald Trump is bringing in record numbers of Americans. He is doing more to add to our ranks than any of your anemic get-out-the-vote operations.
‘Yes, there’s an insurrection coming. We are fed up, we’re sick of the lies, the veils and the games.’
She added: ‘Be careful. Be very very careful. Do not disrespect the man who makes sense to us.
‘Because when you disrespect him, you disrespect the will of the American people. That’s not a good place to be.’
